Annapurna Region is the most popular trekking region
of Nepal. It is arguably the most panoramically gifted regions of Nepal and it
takes something really specially to be able to be called this in the land of
Mt. Everest. Located northwards of Pokhara,
Annapurna Panorama Trek takes you through the Annapurna massif with splendid
views of Manaslu, Lamjung, Dhaulagari the Annapurnas as well as many other
Tibetan mountains.
As the trails take you to the Tibetan plateau
through the dense rhododendron and oak forests, you will be welcomed by the
smiling faces of warm villagers who are predominantly Gurung and Magar and
Tamang. One of the highlights of this trek is Poonhill (3,210/10,531ft), a
hill-top popular for facilitating panoramic views of the surrounding
Kaligandaki valleys, rivers, lakes, deep gorges and mountain ranges
(Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchre). There is plenty of natural hot springs
along the way, and you can spend a quiet evening by taking a plunge in one of
them.
Annapurna Panorama Trek 10 days is a fairly easy trek. The trails are
not much physically demanding when compared to other trails in the Himalayas
and the trek will be completed in less than two weeks itself. That does not
lessen the fun and excitement of trekking though. Thus, Annapurna panorama trek
best suits you if you are planning to have as much Himalayan adventure as
possible in whatever short time you have available.
.
The months between March to May (spring) and
September to December (autumn) are the best months to trek the Annapurna
region. The days will be warm and nights will be generally cold with cool
breezes. Those of you who are willing to fight the cold can also do the Annapurna Panorama Trek in the months
of January and February. The recent earthquakes in Nepal have not done any
damage in the Annapurna region. Come and enjoy the rewarding experience of
Annapurna Panorama Trek with us.
